
Susan Raney, M.A., CCC-SLP

Susan began her journey at TLC in August of 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. She then earned her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Additionally, she graduated with a concentration in pediatric feeding. In May 2017, she moved to New Orleans and began working with the pediatric population in preschools and public schools. Susan has experience with a variety of speech and language disorders, but she is especially passionate about pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She currently treats full-time at our Metairie outpatient clinic with individual clients and our Talkin' Toddlers program. Susan enjoys doing yoga, calligraphy, and binge watching tv series with her husband.

Ashley Ezell, MCD, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Ashley began her journey at TLC in August of 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders at Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge and a Masters in Speech Language Pathology at LSU iShreveport. She worked in Shreveport for 4 years in a variety of settings including inpatient pediatric, geriatric, and hospital settings. Ashley moved to New Orleans in May of 2019. She treats full-time at our Metairie outpatient clinic with individual clients and our Talkin' Toddlers program. Her hobbies include watching movies with her husband, discovering new places to eat in New Orleans, playing with her dog, Harper, and exercising.

Hayley Schmidt, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Hayley began her journey at TLC in December of 2020. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana- geaux Tigers! She has spent the last three years delivering creative and meaningful therapy services to elementary-aged children across schools in New Orleans. As a native New Orleanian, Hayley believes in the unique and culturally diverse spirit of our community, and strives to advance educational equity by providing children and families with the necessary tools to achieve success. She currently treats full time between our Metairie and Elmwood clinics with individual clients and assists with coordinating school based services for our speech therapists . In her spare time, Hayley enjoys crafting, reading, binging Netflix shows, and spending quality time with her beloved cat, Puddin.

Maley Haro, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Maley began her TLC journey in Fall of 2019. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Maley has worked with the pediatric population beginning in New Orleans at WJMC outpatient clinic. She then moved to Hattiesburg, MS where she worked with a private practice company servicing daycares/preschools, Headstart programs, and two outpatient clinics. She is passionate about guiding her patients and families throughout their speech therapy journey, lovingly pushing patients to meet their potential. Maley currently works part time treating in the school system at at TLC Metairie clinic with our Talkin' Toddlers program. Maley enjoys staying busy, and making memories with her husband and daughters.

Sara McManamon Freiberger, MCD, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Sara began her journey at TLC in August of 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA in May of 2012 and her Master of Communication Disorders degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA in May of 2015. She started her career working with the geriatric population in nursing homes. For the past six years, she has worked with the pediatric population at private practices, private schools, and the public school system in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. She currently treats students at a K-8th grade charter school full time. Sara is passionate about helping students with language, articulation, and communication impairments. She also loves helping students with their literacy development by using a variety of phonemic awareness tasks and story activities. Her hobbies include spending time with her husband, daughter, and three dogs, watching movies, and going to local events.

Alex Spizale, MCD, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Alex began her journey at TLC in February of 2022. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders at Louisiana State University and earned a Master of Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She began her career by treating a variety of communication disorders in the public school system. Alex has special interests in autism spectrum disorder, behavior modification, and childhood apraxia of speech. She currently treats full time in the school and clinical settings. She enjoys crafting, going out to eat, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Murphy!

Renee Dussouy, MS, CF-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Renee began her journey at TLC in August of 2022 as a graduate clinician. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders at Louisiana State University and later earned a Masters in Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Xavier University of Louisiana. She began her career by working as a tech in a private clinic with the pediatric population, then moving on to gain experience in the public school system and also under a private Speech-Language Pathologist. Renee has a passion for working with the pediatric population with interests in the autism spectrum and speech and language delays. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is excited to continue her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Therapeutic Learning Center!

Sydney Taylor, MCD, CF-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
She enjoys crafting, going out to eat, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Murphy! Sydney began her journey at TLC as a graduate clinician and later on began her career here in June of 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Masters in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans.
Sydney has experience with medically fragile infants and children, infant and childhood feeding, augmentative alternative communication, language, and articulation. She is also interested in continuing her education in the areas of orofacial myology and lactation consulting. Sydney has completed a 12 week comprehensive feeding course and is "Feed the Peds" trained. In her free time, Sydney enjoys crafting, traveling, spending time with her family and fiance, and hopes to one day write a children's book.

Gerald Ducote, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Gerald joined the TLC team in October 2022. He completed his BA in Communication Sciences & Disorders from LSU, and received his Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from UL Lafayette in 2018. Most of Gerald's experience is in early language intervention and articulation/fluency within schools and private settings. Gerald's style of therapy is informed by the Developmental-Individual Differences-Relationship Based (DIR/Floortime) model. Gerald is also trained in Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTS), which allows him to support parents in their decisions about tongue- and tip-tie releases. He is highly invested in working with young children and their parents to develop play and communication skills, and feels equally rewarded supporting older kids through challenges in higher-order thinking, whether play-based or academic. Outside of the clinic, Gerald enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors with his fiancée and their dog, Mabel.
