Cinthia Alvarez

Administrator

Cinthia began her journey at TLC in October of 2018. She handles all invoicing, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and answering the phone at the front desk at our Metairie location. Cinthia loves creating a relationship with our playful clients and wonderful parents! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her little boy.

Amanda Uransky

Lead Therapy Tech

Amanda began her journey at TLC as a Therapy Tech in June 2017. Amanda graduated from Louisiana State University- Baton Rouge with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is currently enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Delgado Community College. During her four years at TLC Amanda has assisted with handwriting groups, social skills groups, and summer camp programs. Currently as Lead Therapy Tech, Amanda plays a role in planning pre-k prep, marketing for social media, keeping the clinic organized, and stepping in to help whenever needed. Amanda is committed to becoming a pediatric COTA and helping all kids reach their full potential by improving fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and social skills. In her free time, Amanda enjoys baking, growing sunflowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carley Saunders

Lead Building Blocks Tech

Carley Carley began her journey at TLC as an intern in July of 2020. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and was hired as a Therapy Tech shortly after. Currently working as a full time therapy tech she assists with planning activities for the Building Blocks program, social media marketing, assists in administrative duties, and steps in to help whenever needed. Carley has always loved working with the pediatric and special needs population and is thankful that TLC has given her the opportunity to learn and grow in this field. She is applying to the COTA program in May of 2022 at Delgado Community College. She intends to then continue her education to become a pediatric occupational therapist. In her free time she enjoys working out, binging Netflix, going to park, spending time with her friends, family, and her animals.

Kala Thomas

 

Kala began working at TLC as a therapy tech in March 2021. She was born and raised in New Orleans. She graduated from Delgado Community College with an associates degree in general studies with a concentration in biological sciences in 2020. She has worked with children since the age of 16. Although she is newer to TLC, she loves working with the kids each week and helping them to develop new skills. In the future she plans on continuing her education to become an ultrasound tech. She recently got engaged to her fiancé Zach and they have a kitten named Toby. In her free time, Kala likes to do pilates, and loves using essential oils in her home!

Sydney Artigues

 

Sydney began as a volunteer at TLC in January of 2021 and recently became a tech in May. Sydney was born and raised in New Orleans. She is a recent graduate of LSU and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She is applying to LSU’s occupational therapy program and hopes to get accepted for the upcoming January 2022 class. She really enjoys her time at TLC. She feels like she has learned so much about pediatric therapy and hopes to one day work in the pediatric field. In her free time, Sydney enjoys running and going on trips to the beach!

Sophie Sevin

 

Sophie began her journey at TLC in June of 2019. Sophie graduated from Louisiana State University- Baton Rouge with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2021. She is currently a Speech-Language Pathology student at LSUHSC New Orleans. Sophie has always been interested in working with the pediatric and special needs population. Being a part of the TLC family has given her the opportunity to flourish and gain experience in this field. Sophie currently helps with seasonal programs, tutoring, and social skills groups. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Hayley Morgan

 

Hayley began her journey at TLC as a therapy tech in June of 2019. Hayley graduated from Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2021. She is currently a Speech-Language Pathology student at LSUHSC New Orleans. Being a part of TLC has given her great experiences and has grown her love for the pediatric population. Hayley currently helps out with seasonal programs, social skills groups, and helps with social media posts. In her free time, she loves being outside, working out and spending time with friends and family.

Taylor Stansberry

 

Taylor began volunteering at TLC in Summer 2018 and started as a therapy tech in Summer 2019. She was involved with our Talkin' Toddlers program this summer and loves helping with social skills groups. Taylor recently graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and just started her first year at LSUHSC New Orleans as a Doctor of Audiology student. Her favorite part of being in the TLC family is watching her toddlers and big kids grow summer after summer!

Erin Nash

 

Erin began volunteering at TLC in Summer 2020 and became a tech in August of 2021 working with the Talkin’ Toddlers program. She is also helping with our Building Blocks program and afternoon clinic hours at TLC. Erin graduated from LSU in May with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. TLC has given her the opportunity to gain more expertise within the occupational therapy profession and has enhanced her desire to one day work within the pediatric population. She feels the most rewarding part of working at TLC is getting to watch every child’s victory whether big or small and being there to help them to reach their goals!
